Some encounters resemble a reflection – deeply connected, yet detached from space and time. Alexander Wierer and Rasmus Ramö Streith met for the first time in the summer of 2024 in Paris, during their residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts. At that time, the Olympic Games were taking place in Paris, turning the city into a heavily monitored, isolated space. The July heat added to the effect, further slowing down people and children alike. Under these circumstances, a friendship grew.
Castings of shoe soles, cake remnants, and a cash register intertwine in the exhibition no, no flowers to form a narrative. They speak of the traces of paths taken, of celebrated festivities, and of the receipt of a friendship that runs deep.
