Visual Arts

The field of activity of the largest subject area within the SKB, the Visual Arts, is supplemented not only by temporary exhibitions in the Galerie Prisma but also by means of a cooperative and supra-regional program. Besides cooperation with various different cultural regional institutions within the province of South Tyrol, there is an interlocking of artists, curators, and art theoreticians on the international level. In view of the different generations at work here and the interdisciplinary nature of the activities, a lively exchange of ideas is fostered between established artists and young artists; this is characteristic for the linkage between tradition and development.
