BRENNER-HAVELKA-PLESSL
The installation is an extension of the current exhibition by Brenner-Havelka-Plessl, which is on view at the same time at Galerie Gefängnis / Le Carceri in Caldaro.
The art collective Brenner-Havelka-Plessl combines their skills to foster deeper understanding and empathy through dialogic communication. Their first solo exhibition, “broken-yet-holding”, explores the collective’s transformation process, in which old behaviors are shed and a new identity is created. This creative process of fragmentation and re-collaging symbolizes liberation from social stigma and prejudice.
At SKB ARTES, the installation Fragment 02 is on display, connecting selected elements from the collaboratively created paintings exhibited in Caldaro. Individual details, highlighted through stapling and stitching, reveal further facets of mental health. A live transmission between the two exhibition sites makes the fragmentation and complexity also perceptible in space.
