AM LIMIT / AL LIMITE. 7 Olympians 7 Visions

The exhibition of the Südtiroler Künstlerbund was realized in the context of the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and is part of the Milano Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad.

With the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, a special opportunity arises to connect sport and art. From December 12, 2025, to March 14, 2026, the South Tyrolean Artists’ Association will present the exhibition Sport meets Art at SKB ARTES in Bolzano, bringing athletic achievements and artistic perspectives into an exciting dialogue.

At the center of the exhibition are seven Olympic medals won by South Tyrolean athletes, presented alongside large-scale artistic installations. The exhibition not only highlights the spectacular moments of the Games but also explores their emotional, social, and physical dimensions – from triumphs to the challenges behind these achievements.

The participating athletes and their respective artists are: Dorothea Agetle with the Collettivo Brenner-Havelka-Plessl, Antonella Bellutti with Cornelia Lochmann, Tania Cagnotto with Michael Fliri, Carolina Kostner with Rixa Rottanara, Gustav Thöni with Leonhard Angerer, Omar Visintin with Wil-ma Kammerer, and Gerda Weißensteiner with Damian Piazza.
