A place to breathe. These are poems. In a restless and vulnerable world, the lyrical self develops a resistance to time. In the middle of a shed, flies and weeds, lizards and, again and again, water gather to form a defence system for survival. Here, war is not yet present, yet it is deeply ingrained in the body of a female existence. The great tragedies take place outside, but in the undergrowth, among firebugs or the headlessness and speechlessness of a worm, another existential battle zone unfolds. That of words and images as a translation of the unspeakable. Alongside this, the simple beauty of a brittle nature serves as a saving anchor.
