DRAWN TO RISK
DRAWN TO RISK: The Südtiroler Künstlerbund transforms the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation into a House of Performance for the 2026 Transart Festival.
The Südtiroler Künstlerbund (SKB), in collaboration with the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation, is pleased to announce the ten performance projects selected through the Open Call DRAWN TO RISK – HOUSE OF PERFORMANCE, dedicated to artists, collectives and performers from all disciplines who were born, reside or are professionally active in South Tyrol.
On Saturday, 12 September, at 11 AM, as part of the Transart Festival, the exhibition spaces of the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation will be transformed into a venue for artistic research, experimentation and exchange.
DRAWN TO RISK promotes bold and radical performative practices that explore the relationship between the body, space and contemporary social issues through physical, sonic or mental actions that deliberately push boundaries. At its core, the project features artistic approaches that challenge limits, embrace risk as a creative element, and understand performance as a direct form of engagement with the present.
The initiative aims to open up new perspectives, transforming the Foundation’s spaces into a venue for artistic presence, active participation and exchange.
DRAWN TO RISK conceives art as a laboratory of the present: a space open to experimentation, openness and dialogue.
The strong response to the open call confirms the significance and growing recognition of performance art within South Tyrol's contemporary art scene. A total of 33 applications were submitted. The ten selected projects were chosen by a jury comprising Silvia Di Giorgio (Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation), Chiara Onestini (Transart) and Manuela Kerer (Südtiroler Künstlerbund).
The following artists have been selected:
Matteo De Caminada, frranzrrrina, Peter KOMPRIPIOTR Holzknecht, Katharina Theresa Mayr, Harald Plattner, Camilla Prey, Susanna Schoenberg, Leander Schwazer, Lena Simonetti, Valeria Stuflesser.
DRAWN TO RISK is supported by the South Tyrol Savings Bank Foundation (Stiftung Südtiroler Sparkasse), the City of Bolzano, and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano – South Tyrol.
