Raiffeisen Kunstsammlung
Since 2011, the Raiffeisen Landesbank Südtirol has been steadily building its own collection of contemporary art. The collection was established with the aim of supporting and promoting artistic practice in the European Region Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino, increasing its visibility and preserving selected artistic positions for the future.
Today, the collection comprises 233 works by 118 emerging and established artists with ties to South, North and East Tyrol. Over the years, it has grown to reflect the diversity of contemporary artistic practice across the region. The collection engages with current developments while preserving significant artistic positions as a cultural legacy for future generations.
An independent advisory board oversees the acquisition process, ensuring quality, continuity and the consistent development of the collection. Through carefully selected new acquisitions, the collection continues to grow year by year.
An important part of the collection is the annual Art Award, which supports the development and production of a new work that subsequently becomes part of the collection. The collection is further enriched each year by an original artwork selected for the design of the Raiffeisen Landesbank’s Christmas card.
THE EXHIBITION
The current exhibition offers an insight into the ongoing development of the collection. It features the 2025 Art Award winners, Mischa Sanders & Philipp Putzer, alongside the new acquisitions of 2026. Also on display is the original work by Josef Rainer, selected as the motif for the 2026 Christmas card.
The entire collection can be explored at any time in the Raiffeisen Landesbank’s virtual gallery.
