The paintings on view were begun in Paris, where ReschWilleit spent several months in a residency at the Cité internationale des arts. Working in a borrowed studio in an unfamiliar city, the artists began a group of paintings in response to what was immediately around them. Once the residency ended, they carried the unfinished paintings to Verona, set them up in their studio there, and continued working on them over the following months. The paintings stayed open to what they had taken in on the way, and to what the new place added.
Some of the sources in the paintings include sketches made in between the two cities.
During the exhibition, a poster will be available to take away.
