SOUTH Tyrol and SALZburg – Opposites / Oppositi / Gegensätze

Sweet and sour, city and countryside, rich and poor, old and young: opposites exist everywhere, and every place has its own tensions to grapple with.

Are they enriching? Dangerous? Can opposites belong together? Two authors from Salzburg and two from South Tyrol present texts offering their very personal perspectives on the contrasts they perceive in their surroundings. Afterwards, in a discussion moderated by Katrin Klotz, they will also explore the differences between being an author in South Tyrol and in Salzburg – should such differences exist at all. Look forward to an unusual literary evening in which local and guest authors engage in dialogue with one another.
