CURATED BY YOU – REVISITED revisits the exhibition concept developed by Lisa Trockner and Eva von Ingram Harpf in 2017, bringing privately owned favourite works from Brixen’s homes into the public space – beneath the city’s arcades.
The project begins with Mayor Andreas Jungmann, who presents a work from his private collection: an artwork that has accompanied him for years and hangs in the entrance of his home. For him, it speaks of humility and groundedness, while leaving space for interpretation and closer looking.

Why did you choose this particular work?
For me, this work represents humility and a down-to-earth attitude. At the same time, it leaves a great deal open to interpretation and sharpens the senses when you take a closer look (winks).
Where is the work displayed in your home?
The work hangs in the entrance area and welcomes everyone who enters the house.
What do you wish for the StadtGalerie Brixen?
New art that can be experienced and enjoyed by all visitors.
Andreas Jungmann has chosen Ivo Barth as the next curator.
The handover will take place on 6 October 2026 at 5.30pm.
In collaboration with Stadtmarketing Brixen and four local businesses – Exon, Janek Glas Art, SCHMID & VON BOSIO and Weltladen – the project extends into the urban space. Selected objects from their collections activate the surroundings of the display case, connecting art, everyday life and the city.
