SKB LAB

The space serves both as a site for in-depth research by members and as a platform for institutional residency programmes. In cooperation with international partner institutions, new formats of exchange are developed: artists from the SKB take part in residencies abroad, while international artists are invited to South Tyrol in return. These programmes are supported by targeted mentoring formats and contribute sustainably to professional and artistic development.

At SKB LAB, artistic research is understood as an open, process-oriented approach that takes shape through experimental practices, site-specific projects, interdisciplinary collaborations, and theoretical and reflective research. At its core lies the exchange of knowledge, methods, and perspectives.
